In the 1960s, DC comics unleashed to the world "Doom Patrol", a group of non-typical superheros that do typical things. Fight bad guys, protect good guys. I never read it. I simply wasn't alive to do so.
When I got approved to read the revamped version of it, it was all new to me. And man was it good.
Featuring a cast of characters with excellent development, Doom Patrol is the story of Flex Mentallo, Robotman, Rebis, Crazy Jane, and more as they are drawn into the world of Danny, a mythical being that is being attacked by alien-type creatures. Together they team up to do what is right and save the world.
This book is a bit out there but it was great. The artwork was so original, I couldn't read the story because my eyes were taking it all in. The plot was fast paced and the reader is truly in for a treat. From other reviews I have read, Way does a great job at keeping the characters true to the original.
I love to read and to discuss books. My preferred genre is sci-fi but I like to read mostly anything.
