At the conclusion of the second book in the Pines trilogy, a huge event occurs (I won't spoil it for you...) that sets up the third and final chapter perfectly. Everything about this picturesque town has been turned upside down and Ethan Burke is why.
Its hard to review this book without giving away anything monumental but suffice it to say, you don't want to miss this exciting conclusion. While not quite as smoothly written and fast-paced as its two predecessors, The Last Town left me turning the pages as fast as my eyes could read.
Blake Crouch is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors because of his cliffhangers, action, and great character development - all of these qualities shine here in this book. Highly recommended, but don't pick this up before reading the first two, Pines and Wayward, first.
I love to read and to discuss books. My preferred genre is sci-fi but I like to read mostly anything.
