So for my very first review I'm going to talk about a book I just finished reading today at lunch. This book centers around a father and his relationship with his son who has Tourette's syndrome. Having been absent for most of the son's life, though not by divorce but rather by being a overly organized workaholic, Felix is thrust into parental spotlight after his wife suffers a severe heart attack. The story revolves around their relationship and how Felix has to change to become a better parent to Harry as he is about to go off to college.
Overall this book was wonderful. The writing flowed very nicely and well constructed from beginning to end. I would highly recommend this book if you are looking for something emotionally moving and well written. I can't recommend this book enough.
While on vacation at Walt Disney World this past weekend, I found myself wanting to just sit down and read to find out what happens. Obviously there is more depth to the story than what I wrote above, but I don't really want to spoil anything.
If I could say something negative about the story it would be that the ending is fairly predictable but still an amazing book nonetheless.
FOCUS: FAMILY DRAMA, EMOTIONAL
I love to read and to discuss books. My preferred genre is sci-fi but I like to read mostly anything.
