We were finishing up our vacation in Toronto and happened to stumble upon a children's toy and book store. My wife and I wanted to get our son something Canadian to remember his trip so we found this book and two others that we adored.
Moose has always been a little skeptical to do much in life. He missed out on all the fun things his friends had done simply because he was afraid of what may happen. But one day he channels his inner moose and goes on an adventure of his lifetime!
This is a very precious and well-written book featuring a very likable protagonist: the moose. It teaches children to make the "moose" out of life and enjoy every moment. Rather than be afraid to try new things, Moose was able to embrace new experiences and really learn to let go and live. My son thought this book was interesting and it really kept his attention. I'm excited to read the others in this series.
The illustrations are perfectly done as well in a cartoon manner. The moose, slightly plump, and the other characters, have wonderful expressions on their faces and are delightful to look at. Part of what made us pick this book up was all of the Canadian animals on its pages.
This book is definitely recommended for young children and anyone wanting to read a little book with enjoyable characters.
